Characterization, application and statistical optimization approach for enhanced production of pyocyanin pigment by Pseudomonas aeruginosa DN9

نویسندگان

چکیده

The aim of this work was to study the pyocyanin pigment from Pseudomonas aeruginosa DN9. involves optimization process parameters for enhanced production under submerged fermentation condition. During process, maximum (92.12 µg/ml) obtained with carbon source mannitole, nitrogen peptone, inorganic salt NaCl and metal ion FeSO4. Plackett Burman design Response Surface Methodology (RSM) showed KH2PO4 are significant variable in pigment. FTIR GC–MS done evaluate structural properties purified further analyzed as colouring agent inhibitory action against pathogenic microorganisms. Thus, present DN9 promising culture potential biotechnological application.

Identification of Pseudomonas aeruginosa by pyocyanin production on Tech agar.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the only gram-negative bacillus capable of producing the very distinctive water-soluble pigment pyocyanin. We evaluated the reliability of this characteristic as a unique test for the identification of this organism by using Tech agar (BBL Microbiology Systems, Cockeysville, Md.) medium. A retrospective and prospective analysis was performed with a total of 835 strains...

Pyocyanin production by Pseudomonas aeruginosa confers resistance to ionic silver.

Silver in its ionic form (Ag+), but not the bulk metal (Ag0), is toxic to microbial life forms and has been used for many years in the treatment of wound infections. The prevalence of bacterial resistance to silver is considered low due to the nonspecific nature of its toxicity. However, the recent increased use of silver as an antimicrobial agent for medical, consumer, and industrial products ...

Biosynthesis, antibacterial activity of pyocyanin pigment produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa SU1

Pseudomonads are well known for their degradative abilities and play an important role in the environmental cleanup and they are well known for their opportunistic pathogenic properties. The characteristic feature of Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the production of soluble pigments like Pyocyanin, which is an secondary metabolite that is produced in both solid and liquid culture media. Pyocyanin iso...

Production and Characterization of a Nitrilase from Pseudomonas aeruginosa RZ44 and its Potential for Nitrile Biotransformation

Background: The conversion of nitriles into amides or carboxylic acids by nitrilase has taken its application into consideration, as the scope of its applications has recently been extended. Objectives: In this study, P. aeruginosa RZ44 was isolated from sewage in the Kerman which has Nitrile-degradation activity. In order to improve the nitrilase production, several optimization were done on e...

Statistical optimization for improved indole-3-acetic acid (iaa) production by Pseudomonas aeruginosa and demonstration of enhanced plant growth promotion

The present study was undertaken to study the statistical optimization of medium components for improved Indole-3acetic acid (IAA) production by Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Colorimetric analysis showed maximum IAA (132 μg mL-1) in the medium supplemented with tryptophan (0.5 g L-1). The maximum production was achieved after 96 h of incubation. Yeast extract, tryptophan and EDTA were identified as s...
